Designed in tandem with Santa Fe, the upcoming vehicle will be positioned one notch above the Creta SUV launched last year in India. Hyundai will introduce Tucson in diesel and petrol variants.
Hyundai Tucson Exterior
Built on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 (FS2.0) design philosophy, Tucson shares strong resemblance with the Santa Fe. Up front, the SUV gets hexagonal radiator grille and pulled back LED head lamps along with LED daytime running lights. Flanks are marked by tapered window frame lending a coupe like semblance to the SUV. The sculpted wheel arches on sides add muscularity to the overall outer design. Rear has also been designed modishly featuring wrap around tail-lamps, skid plate and integrated spoiler.
Hyundai Tucson Interiors
Interiors are upmarket; the use of top notch material inside ups the premium quotient inside. Features such as an eight inch touch-screen infotainment system with in-built sat-nav, electric tailgate, Smart Parking Assist System, blind spot assistance, autonomous braking, heated seats & steering wheel, power adjustable seats, seat ventilation, heated reclining rear etc are likely to be available inside.
Hyundai Tucson Engine specification and Transmission
Petrol variants likely to be offered on the base trims could be available with a 1.4 litre, turbocharged mill and a 1.0 litre gasoline engine. Similarly, diesel variants which are expected to be offered on the high end trims may be available in two engine choices including 1.7 litre engine and a 2.0 litre powertrain. A dual-clutch transmission may be paired with petrol trims and diesel powered Tucson is likely to get six-speed automatic gearbox.
Hyundai Tucson Competition
In the entry level premium SUV segment, the upcoming Tucson will go up against Honda CR-V and Nissan X-Trail.
Hyundai Tucson Expected Price
