Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Despite a small stance, Ignis has an impressive silhouette. Styling is impressive and lends a contemporary appearance to Ignis. Face in particular is catchy featuring encased projector head lamps and chrome finished sleek front grille. The head lamp cluster and radiator grille in fact appear as a single unit. Bumper in front is large as it gets chrome finished fog lamps set on the backdrop of honey-comb grille. Side profile has been carved well featuring flared arches and multiple spoke alloy wheels. Shoulder line seems to be sharp and the window frame features a sporty design. Three slat air vents are placed on the C pillar and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators are equipped on sides. Rear has a slanting windscreen and a flat lid featuring wrap around tail lamps. Bumper has a thick black coloured cladding which features reflectors. Talking in terms of dimensions, the sub-four meter mini-SUV is confined to 3679 mm of length, 1579 mm of height and 1478 mm of width.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Interiors:
Interiors are likely to be designed in line with the sporty exteriors. It is expected that Ignis’s interiors will be styled contemporarily enveloped in dual tone colour scheme. To add sporty flair, the cabin may feature a splash of contrast colour on the inside. Nothing much is known regarding the equipment list, but hopefully Maruti Suzuki will pack it on par with the closest rivals.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Engine specification and Transmission:
Under the hood, the India bound model could feature a 1.3 litre, DDIS powerplant generating 74 Bhp. Petrol trims may feature the same gasoline engine which powers Baleno viz; a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder K Series petrol engine churning out 83 Bhp. Both the engines are expected to come mated to a five-speed manual transmission; a four speed automatic engine could also be on offing. A front wheel drive system will be equipped in the mini-SUV, however the all-wheel drive version could be confined to international markets.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Competition:
Ford EcoSport is a potential rival to the upcoming Ignis, but Mahindra’s new KUV100 will collide head-on with Maruti’s new offering.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Expected Price:
Maruti Suzuki Ignis price for the Indian market could range between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh.
