The British Luxury car maker, Bentley Motors has finally launched it first-ever SUV – Bentayga – in India at Rs. 3.85 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The first delivery of the SUV will be made within 2 weeks from now. Usually, Bentley cars are delivered in 5 months after the booking. First unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bentley Bentayga is claimed to be the fastest, and most powerful and expensive SUV in the world.

Michael Winkler, CEO, Bentley, has confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II will be the first owner of the ultra-luxurious Bentayga SUV. The Queen of England has driven one of the prototypes on rugged terrains of her Balmoral estate. Ditching her iconic green Land Rover, the Queen will use the Bentayga for her hunting expeditions. In 2002, Bentley had presented a Bentley State Limousine to the Queen on her Golden Jubilee. She also owns a Bentley Mulsanne.

Coming to the Bentley Bentayga’s design, this ultra-luxury SUV has been designed, engineered and hand-crafted at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, UK. The Bentley Bentayga looks quite premium and sophisticated with elements like large matrix grille, full LED adaptive headlamps with high beam assist, skid plate on lower front bumper, four distinctive floating all-LED head-lamps, bold side creases, a new ‘B’-shaped illumination graphic, B-shaped wing vents, rear haunch and segmented tail lights. The SUV measures 5.14 metres in length with a wheelbase of around 3 metres.

Engine, Transmission & Top Speed:
At the heart of the Bentley Bentayga is an all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine that pushes out a whooping power of 600bhp at 5,000rpm- 6,000rpm and 900Nm of torque at 1,350rpm. This 12-cylinder powertrain can achieve 100kmph from standstill in just 4.1 seconds, while maintaining a top-speed of 301kmph. With these outstanding power figures, the Bentayga becomes the most powerful and fastest SUV in the world. The SUV comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
