Exterior
The new-generation Figo shares its design with the new Figo Aspire. The hatchback and compact sedan follow the Kinetic Design 2.0 design language. The Figo hatchback has a trapezoidal grille with the large swept headlamps and styling fog lamps forming the fascia. The side profile looks a lot more sporty than the previous-gem Figo, which was more of practical in styling. The rear of the Figo looks good too with the small tail lamps and be it the sedan or the hatchback, neither of them look out of shape. Ford Figo is available in seven colours, namely, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver , Oxford White, Ruby Red, Smoke Grey, Sparkling Gold, Tuxedo Black.
Interior
Figo shares the same instrument panel with the Figo Aspire. The Figo hatchback has all black interiors, when compared to the Aspire that has black and beige interiors. The Figo has good interior quality and even the look and feel of the plastics is good. The Figo has a 4.2-inch display and the in-dash music system comes with SYNC2.0 multimedia. There are a lot of stowage spaces in the hatchback. There will be automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, six airbags and even ABS with EBD.
The Ford Figo is a five-seater and there is sufficient space for five people. The boot size is also decently large on the Ford Figo.
Engine and Transmission
The Ford Figo comes with a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT engine that churns about 88bhp of power and 112Nm of maximum torque. The second engine is the 1.5-litre petrol that churns about 110bhp of power and 135nm of maximum torque. The third engine on offer is the 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns about 98bhp of power and 215Nm of peak torque.
Performance and Handling
The Ford Figo’s diesel engine and the petrol automatic are the ones to pick if you are looking at performance. This premium hatchback’s engines have good performance and there are no two ways about Figo’s handling capabilities.
